I've watched the first 2 episodes and I really like this. It's extremely stylish and the story could easily be complicated but I assume they've streamlined it a bit.

Having never read the comic, I can't compare it to that but I am enjoying the ride so far and look forward to meeting Constantine.

Just finished. I am. It is quite brilliant. There's a few things I did not like, a few that surprised me. Sturridge is perfect. I was on the fence about Howell-Baptist, but she was just perfection. The Corinthian was creepy.

I've seen some reviews of it being "slow" which I can understand if you do not know the story. Some moments seem like they could have used a bit more dramatic...bigness I guess. Overall though, i was entertained enough to just watch the entire thing and wish we had season two now.

I'm about to start it. I know nothing really of the comics. Just from the reviews though I see a lot of "it's slow". Problem with Netflix series if you don't come out of the gate hard they cancel really fast. But. we will see.

I've seen just the first episode so far, I plan to pace it, maybe an episode per day. The first one was great, same as the first issue, very strong intoduction.

Wholeheartedly agree. I've watched one more episode than you (at which point I forced myself to stop or I'll watch the whole series in one day)

I didn't realize all 10 eps were dropping at once. I had only planned to watch the first one yesterday. Instead, I watched up through Death's appearance. I have never loved the first arc of the series, though that may have mostly been because I didn't like the art. I was shocked -- and delighted -- that the series follows the comic so closely. Some changes, yes, but The Sound of Her Wings is just as awesome as ever, especially since it's coupled with the Hob Gadling introduction. John Dee in the Diner is as hopeless as ever, the Corinthian is spot on, Desire looks like it will be fun, and Lucifer's humiliation is much more apparent to me in this series than it was in the comic.

Two episodes in, I thought the first one dragged a bit spoilers:

end of spoilers, but the second made up for it.

A problem with threads for streaming shows is I don't want to read about episodes I haven't seen, yet want to talk about the ones I have. Everybody doesn't binge the whole thing.

Not sure how to solve that except spoilers for all plot discussion, which could get cumbersome.

It was just me or anyone else noticed some pacing/editing issues in the first episode? I'm pretty sure it had a longer runtime before being trimmed down.
