A while back, The film did get a 2012 re-released in 3D with the 2011 blu-ray cut of the film with the CG Yoda. Kind of wonder if it kind of being mostly ignored was one of the factors to Lucas deciding to retire and allow the series to continue under Disney. (Lucas's original plans were to gradually release all six films in 3D. The 3D versions did kind of find a second life-at least the prequel versions were shown at conventions, and the remaster of the OT done for them minus the 3D is what's on Disney+-"Macclunkey" and all).
