Default Goemon (Lupin III) vs Mugen (Samurai Champloo)

To the death. Who wins? Composite Goemon.

    Goemon.

    It's not even remotely close.

Goemon is a reasonably high end bullet timer at his best who can cut through cars and stuff.

Mugen, while a great fighter with a ridiculous soak, is squarely out of his league here.

Man, I haven't watched Samurai Champloo in years. I should go back and re-watch it, it was a great light-hearted show.

I watched it back in April last year while in lockdown. It still holds up real well.

I wouldn't call it light-hearted per say. It's got a lot of darkness and sadness in there but it balances it well with a flexible goofy tone.

Goemon was my earliest example of a katana cutting through a tank. Plus makes Jigou run a grizzled assassin with stupidity good aim.

Goemon also cut apart a large bridge. Mugen is seriously outclassed in both speed and damage output.
    Ichigo: What even *are* you?!

Kenpachi: Some say my mother was a train. Some say that I'm a rejected Godzilla monster too strong for the series canon. But everyone says: I'M THE KEEEEENPACHIIIIII!!!!

Yeah, there are some dark themes at times but definitely lightly goofy at times. I was scratching my head with the baseball episode.

That episode is such a lot of fun haha.

That and the graffiti episode are my favourite very silly episodes.
