JL foundation could be changed to something that references they represent the elements hell foundation even works if you go off the idea the parliament is the foundation of life. You’d have Aquaman (The Clear), Animal Man (The Red), and Swamp Thing (the green) and whatever explanation for the other members I guess. Assuming that’s the direction you were going with.

Actually, with a name like "Justice League", I'd actually want the more street-level characters dealing with crime and such.

Maybe a group like:

* Batman
* Black Canary
* Green Arrow
* Vigilante
* Plastic Man (former criminal)
* Flash (police scientist)
* Robotman (someone with strength, but not over-the-top in terms of a Superman-level)

Now, people like Aquaman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman, and Wonder Woman could be on a BIG HITTERS team with a different name, like "Super Force" or something.

The idea is different mythical backgrounds and foundations that give people powers: the Blue/the Clear (now called Life Force), the Green, the Red, the Rot/Black + the triad of technological, mystical and physical origins of power (the ultimate science of the lantern ring, the divine powers from the Rock of Eternity and a kryptonian.
