Default Captain Planet vs. Animated Superman

Captain Planet takes on Animated Superman in an abandoned Metropolis, but both fighters will be in character during this random encounter.

There will be 3 major categories of Animated Superman, since as far as I know, the continuity of some versions of animated Superman is questionable:

Round I) Animated Superman, pre-1987 (this does include the Superfriends timeline as well as the Fleischer canon)- composite.

Round II) DCAU Superman (which does include Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, as confirmed by Bruce Timm himself)

Round III) Non-DCAU Animated Superman, composite (which includes EVERYTHING post-1987 that is NOT considered part of the DC Animated Universe canon, which DOES Include Superman: Brainiac Attacks, despite using the same art/animation style and voice work as Superman: TAS)

Cap should be stronger and speed should be fairly even in most of these cases.

Durability might be an issue though. Cap can turn into fire or something to compensate, but then he has a hard time hurting Clark.

I think clever use of Cap's powers might net him a win.

Environment also matters. Clark is just about immune to most things that can be thrown at him in regards to pollution. Captain Planet has been shown to be extremely vulnerable to such things.

That's not a problem in the Arena.

I....kinda see them stalemating? Cap was portrayed as more or less invincible unless pollution was involved.

An abandoned city? Er, that's gonna have pollution. It just depends on if he gets knocked into it, really.

I seem to recall Captain Planet doing some ridiculous feats. Like, throwing things into outer space and such (although admittedly I can't find any clips for these).

If so, hurting Clark should be no issue.

It really depends. Pollution will weaken him, but not kill him. Like smog would be unpleasant but nothing a breeze couldn't cure. I don't think Supes is going to knock him into some convenient toxic waste or anything. Even if he did, water would recharge him. And speaking of recharge, he's solar powered just like Supes.

Don't think pollution is going to be a major issue in this one.
