There's more to superheroes than just fighting, and romance. Ragnarok had no romance and it was good. Captain Marvel didn't either and it was reasonable. Logan had none and it was great.

because a core part of Steve Rogers is standing up for the little guys?

This is too ambiguous to actually be seen as Sam questioning Steve's legacy. It can mean a lot of things that have nothing to do with Steve but has something to do with a black man carrying a shield that was owned by Captain America.

When did this happen? A lot of things contributed in Sam reclaiming that shield and Sarah was the least influencer in him coming to that decision. I don't know where you're getting this.

Since I didn't see it i'm not going to waste my time thinking about something that is not canon.

Ragnarok was popular but it was ****. CM was only just barely not ****. Logan was great, but ultimately not a superhero movie, even though it had some elements.

Says who? They fight for an ideal, to better themselves or help others.

Fighting to get laid? Not the greatest motivation

So that sounds like you're agreeing you're incorrect on this point.

Really? Ragnarok was better than the previous two Thor movies. Captain Marvel was serviceable, and better than several MCU movies with romances. And how is Logan not a superhero movie?

Exactly. And it isn't even always about physical fights, nor are all the relationships romantic

Ragnarok was better attended. It was poorly scripted, directed, acted and edited compared to the previous two. It was Schindler's List as imagined by Ivan Reitman, Dan Ackroyd, and Bill Murray.

Let's make a movie about almost completely destroying an entire race, but make it really funny and lighthearted. Not at all heart wrenching.

Screw all that Shakespearean stuff. He was so totally overrated.

I admit the apocalypse plotline was tonally jarring next to comical space adventure. Ideally they'd be separate movies. But that doesn't mean it wasn't better than the previous two in a lot of ways, or that the romance was one of the worst parts of those 2 movies
