Thanos was no doubt concerned about Odin and Asgard. A battered and beaten Thor handled the Power Stone better than Ronan did. I think its clear that Asgard was aware ogf the dangers they presented.
It says something that Thanos brought the entire remaining Black Order with him when he assaulted the Asgardian refugees, even though he possessed the most purely powerful Infinity Stone; he wasn’t taking any chances, even as it turned out to be overkill. And it’s implied Hulk still must have torn through plenty of Thanos’s conventional forces to still be going at full power even after Thor is down.

Asgard at full might is likely a close enough one-to-one match that Thanos could not afford to fight them when others might join in; even when he actually possessed the Mind Stone, his only intrusion of Asgardian territory was on Earth, one of Asgard’s old protectorates as Midgard, and he did so through Loki (another Asgardian) as his proxy. Heck, the Asgardians seem to have the military power to not need Infinity Stones as their weapons of war, since they keep locking them away from themselves and hiding them.

He clearly had the might necessary to destroy Zandar, but again initially insisted on a proxy, even though that meant inserting a too-often-defiant Ronan as a middleman to him possessing the Power Stone. The Kree might be considered about even with the Zandarians, given their eventual peace treaty at the end of long periods of strife, but less likely to intervene on Thanos’s plans out of their own totalitarian ambitions.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

He made his move when he knew he could get all six stones. There would have been no point in making a move personally before then.

Having the Black Order with him when he attacked the Asgardian ship says nothing more than it was a convenient way to introduce them and their relationship to Thanos in one quick early scene.

Seriously, Thanos beat down Hulk in seconds, but we're supposed to assume Asgardians were a significant threat? C'mon.

You've never listened to the commentary track by the writer and directors of Infinity War, have you?

The Hulk isn't an immortal race of Gods with advanced technology, is he?

At their peak, they could have easily equaled his army. Certainly enough to deny him the stone he was after, and likely the others as well.

"The catalyst for the whole movie was when Thanos figure out where the Soul Stone was because he captured Nebula on his ship [after she went after him at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2] and rooted around in her brain and found out that Gamora knew where the Soul Stone was," co-screenwriter Stephen McFeely explained in the commentary track he recorded alongside co-screenwriter Christopher Markus and directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

Joe Russo explained that it's the reason why Thanos had not gone after the Infinity Stones until this point "because the minute he does, the forces of the universe are going to line up against him. If he doesn't know where the Soul Stone is, then what is the point?"

Hulk isn't the quite type. I don't think he was tearing through Thanos troops. I think Banner was hiding and was a last resort because they didn't wanna unleash Hulk on a ship. Banner turned into Hulk and attacked on Loki command. I mean that's how I took it atleast.

I could way off though. I also saw that fight between Hulk and Thanos different then alot of people I talked to about it. I thought that fight showed Hulk was stronger then Thanos physically. I ddint think Thanos overpowered him, he grabbed him by preasure points on his wrists and then attacked his weak points like his throat. He was just a 100x better fighter. Hulk while strong also isn't nearly as durable as some others like Thanos or Thor.

I would have liked to see what Odin could have done against Thanos and the Black Order.

What he could have done is exactly what the script needed him to do. In the first movie Asgard was a magic-y place where you couldn't quite see the difference between magic and science. In the second, Asgard was a technology place with flying...longboats... because... that makes sense, and they were definitely operated and controlled by a technology that it was easy to understand as technology. All levers and buttons and view screens and stuff.

By the end of the third movie we found out that Asgardians are not to be taken seriously in any case. The most powerful among them, outside of Odin and Thor, were defeated with a wave of the hand. And the destruction of Asgard was largely a laugh.

What could that kind of Asgard do against Thanos and his unlimited army?

To be fair, even in the comics there is a significant drop off power level wise in the Asgardians after the Royal Family and thier offspring.

The difference being that in the comics an Asgardian that learns Magic can jump way up the power scale like Karnilla or The Enchantress and there seem to be a couple of mages around.

But frankly put the 616 Asgardians in a situation where they have to fight Thanos without Thor or Odin and they aren't doing much better.

Yea especially since they weren't even soldiers Hela wiped out almost all the fighters. Big difference between some Asgardian and Odin. Though the MCU showed up almost nothing of his capabilities. So would have been curious to see him actually fight. Now just show up somewhere yell and everyone get quite.

Just for infö this show has been the top original streaming show for the last 3 weeks that have been reported. Which is pretty darn impressive. And by a lot.

How would you feel If Sharon Carter turns out to be working FOR the Power Broker and not the Power Broker? Is that even possible?

If the Dark Elves were a credible threat to Asgard, it seems like they would tear like tissue paper before Thanos.

They seemed less a credible threat than a needless one. A battle in any major city is gonna kill civilians, so Thor drew them away
