Default Recommendations for comics for a 10 year old

Hi all, what would you recommend for a 10 year old boy to read. He's not a native English Speaker I should say.

    So any thoughts?

First thing that comes to mind is Superman Smashes the Klan by Gene Luen Yang

    Super Sons might be good.

The "DC Graphic Novels For Kids" line (previously known as "DC Zoom") has some good stuff. The installment Anti/Hero is really good (I'm an adult and I got a kick out of it).

    Need to read that sometime.
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

I would always suggest Billy Batson and the Power of Shazam. I think it's in trade and is a classic.

I am currently doing Superman Smashes The Klan with a class of ESL kids around 10 years old and they're loving it. I'm also doing Black Canary: Ignite with a pair of 12 year old girls and it is going equally well with them. I've also done Superman of Smallville with another ten year old and it worked great.

Everything I'd suggest has been covered. But I think there's also like a Scooby Doo DC team up book.

I forgot Gotham Accademy in my list, good choice too. Followed by Gotham Accademy: Second Semester.

The Superman Adventures series is good, Mark Millar has a run that is good. I also love Paul Popes Battling Boy and Aurora West series.

Agreed for Superman Adventures. Battling Boy is awsome, but it's not DC.

Super girl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade is really good

There’s also..of course...some tremendous material from companies other than DC. Jeff Smith’s Bone and “Leave it to Chance” by James Robinson/ Paul Smith are very good, for example
