I dunno, team names have been swapped around frequently in Dawn of X. Kate took Marauders from Mr. Sinister. Mr. Sinister took Hellions from Emma. Maybe its to maintain the copyright.

According to the article, Magik and team will help Man-Thing's 50th climax.

    Good for them.

But if it’s being marketed as a Man-Thing story, why not use the name Daydreamers? The team Man-Thing has a connection with?

I think this sounds neat but Mammomax is a bit much lol.

Forearm, Wolfsbane or Feral, Chamber, Marrow, and Shark Girl would've been cooler IMO

Yea I totally agree with you. I'd like to see a all female team if not one that has 2 or 3 men on a team.

It could have been worse; they could have used Tantra.

Not my cup of tea, but good on Marvel for pushing something out for the fans of those characters.

Actually, I feel like she's been anything but a loose canon since coming to Krakoa. She goes out of her way to emphasize the rules and works well with Cyclops. Pre-Hickman she was definitely a loose canon, but not in the Krakoa era.

As for her being "overexposed," it's not because Marvel is pushing the character for marketing purposes like when Wolverine would be on 3 teams including X-Men and Avengers at the same time. It's because writers like writing her. Between Gillen and Lemire, every time there was a change in the writing staff the new writers fought over who would get to put her on their team. If there's one thing that's consistent since her return it's that when she shows up it's obvious from the page that the writers are having a lot of fun with her, with Guggenheim being the one and notable exception. If anything, her more frequent appearances in Dawn of X are a product of Marvel giving more creative freedom to the writing staff.

X-Men: Curse of the Man-Thing is the last issue of 3 one-shots launched to celebrate the Man-Thing's 50th anniversary.

The 1st one-shot featuring the Avengers and the 2nd is with Spidey.

100% yes to this and everything it does! I always find the Man Thing an interesting character as well.
