    Default Bad Dreams About Rumbles

Has anyone had any bad dreams about posting on Rumbles?

Last night I dreamed that I replied to a thread saying Spider-Man was a good match for Zoom. Then I recalled that's an idiotic take, and in my dream I furiously tried to find that post so I could delete it, but couldn't.

Very relieved when I woke up to discover it wasn't real.

Anyway, post your bad dreams about Rumbles. I can't have been the only one.

I am curious to see what people have to say that might beat the one you describe. Good one.

"...dropping an orca whale made of fire on your enemies is a pretty strong opening move." - Nik
"Why throw punches when you can be making everyone around you sterile mutant corpses?" - Pendaran, regarding Dr. Fate

I've definitely had dreams about this place at one point back when the board (and me were super active like 10 years ago. No bad ones though.

I'm sure quite a few people have woken up in a cold sweat over Pendaran.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

Luckily, dreams like that tend to fade away moments after waking and I can't remember them.

... okay, my mental image of Rorshach.

One time I had an awful dream where the Joker killed Minamoto Chikaru (from Strawberry Panic). He drove a sharp fragment of metal through her heart while she was protecting Kizuna and Remon.

Last night though I had an amazing dream where Spider-Man was about to be killed by Electro and Beetle, but Kaien and Miyako Shiba (from Bleach) came to his aid. Electro could perceive them due to his ability to sense energy and Beetle's on-board computer was able to detect them, but they still saved Spidey.

Later the same night it was a Star Wars/Star Trek/Bleach crossover. There was a part where Garak was talking to a Trandoshan. He also tried to steal something from Soul Society.

...man, I wish I had your dreams. Mine are all crappy and stress-filled.

Despite having been on this board for... 15 years or so now?

    I don't think I've ever had a Rumbles-centric dream.

    Somewhat tangential.

Rumbles helped turn me into a skeptic (for good or ill you decide) and as a result, helped me break out of some pretty problematic thinking/beliefs... because I grew up in an environment where this kind of thinking, and skepticism in general, was non-existent.

So in a way, it broke me out of the dream that was my former (worse) life.

Me neither. I've had dreams about Deadliest Warrior, a strange Deadliest Warrior-esque show, and Death Battle, but never any Rumbles-centric dreams.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

I’m pretty sure I’ve dreamt one of the “All Rumblers Are Trapped in a Shopping Mall vs” threads.

    That's very pleasing to hear.

    Bad dreams? Nope, not really.
