I'm not familiar with Avril Kincaid or Wendell Vaughn, so this will be fun to learn about them! But, after a cursory wikipedia scan, I saw that Avril is sapphic, so that makes now 8 queer members for this team alone! Love that!

Wow this roster is going to be huge!! It's Ewing so I know it's going to be good and definitely look forward to what this new era for the Guardians is going to bring.
Is that two more unrevealed members on Moondragon’s team or just one?
You think the last one on Phyla’s team is Wendell Quasar or Adam Warlock?
Anybody have a link to the press release with the updated covers above?
I was pretty sure that was Mantis on Drax's shoulder. I wonder if they are going to copy the calming influence she has on him from the movies?
Have to say, I'd have prefered if Quasar 2.0 had stayed dead, and they'd foccus on the real deal. But, let's see what happens.
If Herc is going to stay around, he needs to do much more than just be Marvel Boy's romantic interest. He's one of my favorite Marvel characters, but I've felt him a bit wasted in GotG.
Super-Skrull should be quite interesting.
Peace
Bring back Adam Warlock! Damn it!
I don't think Adam Warlock is up to anything recently.
But I will be fine with Magus joining the Guardians actually, Donny Cates's version is kind of fun.
Wonder if there are going to be more characters after this: maybe Genis comes back to life, maybe Spaceknights Sentry, Terminator and Ikon, Angela, Leah of Hel, Sera, Robbie Rider, Eve Bakian, Darkhawk, Sunspot & Cannonball, Bug?
Are they even allowed to use Bug now? Isn't he a Micronaut?
They won't be able to use Sunspot and Cannonball either because Hickman has dibs on all X-Men.
I reckon Eve Bakian probably retired. She ought to be one of three remaining Novas (along with Rich and Sam), but last we saw her she had a new born baby, which would easily explain how she dodged the destruction of the Corps. It would be nice to see Robbie Rider again though. Is he still Talonar? If so that needs to be dealt with.

I haven't picked up a GotG book since the mid 90's. While I loved the movies and they did pique my interest again, the fact that Marvel seems to relaunch the book more often than they change their underwear has been a turn off for me, so I've just ignored it for the most part.
However I have a couple spots opening up on my pull list, and Al Ewing has been on a roll recently so I'm thinking of adding the book with #13. Anyone want to give me a quick synopsis/review of Ewing's run to date?
I know I could Google it but it's so much more fun engaging with y'all here.
