The Biggest Congratulations to You Nx01a, Excellent Job with an LongTime Beloved choice of a Cover!
As Ravin' Ray said;
Indeed Me, Him and many others have talked Over and Over about that Cover and just how Surreal-DreamLike it is in all the most perfect ways! It hits hard on the eyes right away and well defines what the surreal world of the Mystical SHOULD be like the Marvel Comics!
Excellent Job, Congratzs in you own Landslide Vote!
Looking Forward to what you choose as the Next Contest!

“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
Thanks for the votes!
I've always loved PCR's art, and that cover in particular.
The new contest will be up in approximately 2 hours once I get a break at work.

Congratulations to nx01a for a marvelous cover which showed us that a cover which sticks out from the rest (not drawn by the incredible David Aja) attracts more attention and votes than many covers that are just too similar to each other.
As to the peak of the week where the captain babbles on about what he's learned is a return to how to play the game. The Scarlet Witch herself is a character he knew much about, but in his quest to be different and unique, he went to a cover known for its notoriety. Next to the A not standing for France, this may be the singularly most WTF example of an Ultimates series I did enjoy. But notoriety doesn't win contests. It may get attention and possibly sell books, but here we like great art and innovation. But still, the captain craves attention and although he SAYS he's learned something, only time will tell if that knowledge has truly sunk in.
Awesome appreciation to seismic-2 for the vote.
The Pietro/Wanda incest thing was truly one of the worst, most disturbing things to come out of the Ultimate Universe.

Congratulations on that win nx01a. And I was mistaken to not use it.

Looks like I'll have to move past gameplay footage
and just to post it, this was the other cover I was considering. Thanks for the vote Foxley

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
Congrats nx01a
And thanks for the vote Captain Europe
I loved a lot of those covers, though I didn't like that Wanda was often depicted as helpless/in need of rescue, especially on many of those J. Buscema covers--and yes, I know it was de rigueur for "the times"
Anyway, here's another Wanda-centric cover, Avengers #234 : 19232.jpg
