Default King in Black: Black Panther tie in discussion (spoilers)

Tchalla built a weapon designed to combat the phoenix force!!!

This is the galactus protocol having super paranoid/prepared competent Black Panther we know and love.

Tchalla's leadership is on full display and the side characters in the story are allowed space to be themselves at no ones detriment. Okoye was aggressive and bullheaded at times but listened to. The three together are quite a force.

Re-reading now but i really need more of these characterizations and more of the vault room's secrects.

Great issue. The writing was on point and the art was stunning. The artist on this book is a real rising star, not the ones who rely on coloring to display variations in characters. 10/10 from me.

Absolutely the two panels of Tchallas face (one fully uncovered and the other when he moves past Storm as the mask forms) are incredibly detailed. The mask forming at that time letting us know he was done with his personal wants at that moment and going full King/Panther mode for him ppl was so brilliant. A true understanding of the core of the character.

    Yup! Agreed.

Loved the reference to the See Wakanda and Die story arc from Secret Invasion, which is still in my top 3 BP stories ever.

Just read this, and T'Challa voice and tone was captured so well in this book. Finally we see hints of why he can never be replaced as ruler of Wakanda. The combination wisdom, willpower, and raw intelligence working in sync during the darkest moment, leading his people to victory of a foe the rest of the heroes are struggling with. To top it's done in a way that is believed and earned.

This was the best mix of what makes T'challa, T'challa we have seen in a long ass time.

Geoffrey did a TON in one issue.

Felt nice to see Wakanda be what it was designed to be. Unbeatable. Unconquerable. Thanks to the Black Panter. Because The black Panther is Wakanda.

Great issue. I wonder if Marvel is considering Thorne for a BP solo.

If I remember correctly he was considered last time but was passed up in favor of Coates. I hope Marvel gives him a shot this time around, based on the positive reviews this tie-in is getting.
