If Mephisto gets defeated for good in ASM . . . what happens to him over in Avengers?

Is he even due to be in Avengers any more? Heroes Reborn was the result of his machinations, and it failed.

He isn't necessarily defeated in ASM though. He's currently busy with Doctor Strange in ASM, and some of tomorrow's issue leaked on 4Chan, spoilers:

apparently he wanted Peter and MJ's marriage erased back in One More Day because their daughter would've been the one to defeat him. So if OMD ends up being reversed... his fate becomes known, but wouldn't be happening in the present day, but rather, in the future of Renew Your Vows - in RYV, Peter and MJ never did the deal with Mephisto in the first place, and Annie exists as a result of that.

Did it fail, though? Yeah, the world got reverted to normal, but Mephisto was able to use what he did to establish an alliance with 615 more versions/variants of himself, boasting to the effect of, "If that [Heroes Reborn] was just what one of us alone could do, imagine what all of us together could do!" That said, good on Nick Spencer for canonizing what a lot of us had guessed was Mephisto's true motivation for OMD.

Tragic fate of Luke and Jessica's second child? That child already appeared, they adopted one of Purple Man's kids at the end of Devil's Reign. We're probably just waiting for the next Jessica Jones book.
