The future of the Marvel Universe

At the end of the Mark Waid "History of the Marvel universe" run. Marvel has planting seeds some event that will happen in the future. So far, here are the summary with that happen so far:

What do you think about all these spectacular future?

Well, Aaron's Avenger's building up to a big fight with Mephisto,
not sure about the Emma Tony wedding, still waiting on that part.

My guess is that Emma and Tony's wedding will be in Heroes Reborn, because I cannot it happening the way it currently stands.

You're right. Tony has no connection with the X-Men and is currently dating Hellcat, not Emma. So it sounds like it must be an AU or the result of a reality warp, and Heroes Reborn fits the bill.

The fate of Mephisto must be related to that as well.

If anything on there doesn't happen this year, we can probably assume COVID caused that story to be cancelled.

What do you think about all these spectacular future?

Nothing worse than having cash to spend and time to actually read everything, but nothing to buy. I do not know what the remaining story arcs would look like, but I highly doubt they will feature any of my favorite characters. I do wonder somewhat about Mephisto, since evil in general these days doesn't mean what it used to mean.

No way they’d have Tony & Emma Frost marry in an AU, and have it be a big deal, I would think it’d be probably about 4 years away

No, that's a separate character. The current Warbird is Shi'ar.

Threadneedle and Warbird - The return of an alternate universe Carl Danvers
The Fate of Mephisto - He dies

This is starting to remind me of that Simpsons episode which predicted future storylines such as "Marge becomes a robot," "Moe gets a cell phone" and "Bart owns a bear."

The fate of Mephisto sounds like it'll be resolved at the end of Jason Aaron's Avengers run, since Aaron's been building him up as the first and ultimate foe of the Avengers across the history (and future) of the Marvel Universe. Given I'm still sour about One More Day and all that followed it, I can't imagine this happening without Spider-Man (and maybe Mary Jane) coming back to the Avengers just in time to land some hits on Mephisto.

For what I read of Heroes Reborn, unlikely. Stark it seems to have become into something like Lex Luthor and never quit his business of selling weapons, and Emma Frost (along with a few Mutants) is fighting for survival after the Squadron Supreme apparently massacred mutantkind when they try to get independence.

Are some of these (the ones that actually have happened) pre-planned events which Waid used in the story? Future times in comics always seem to branch heavily on current statuses and often change with amazing regularity. My take is that some of these were already in the works, if in name only, and the others reasonably interesting ideas. Whether a writer has a take on it which Marvel accepts is another thing.

I think DC deals with working into possible futures more heavily than Marvel does, at least in a sense not change history before $#!+ happens. DC does have a more involved stretch of future concepts worked towards as seen in a future story than Marvel. I'd put this with Geoff Johns end to Doomsday Clock and future events for the DC Universe as soundbites that MAY be picked up on.
