Miss Tini just keeps winning. Poor uglies lol.
X-Corp is going to be a book I avoid. Ugh!

Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”
I haven’t read anything from Toni that I would rate above a 6/10. Her Excalibur is definitely my least favorite X-book (dropped that expeditiously after XOS) and easily the worst Gambit portrayals in years. Not looking forward to this book and questioning what the point is when Marauders is supposed to be the X-books’ corporate arm. Duggan hasn’t done a great job with that title (will drop when Storm gets outta there) but I see there being a lot of overlap between their mission statements and vibe. We’ll see though, I’m giving this 1 issue to impress.
This disconnect with Tini's writing is so fascinating to me. People here thinks she's the weakest, but people on Twitter think she's one of, if not the, strongest writer of the line. I don't think I've ever seen so polarizing reactions to someone before.
I do love Monet and Warren, so I'm happy to see them used somewhere.
writing to pander to twitter doesn't work.
most everywhere else I've seen Excalibur has been viewed as the weakest book now.
Gambit and Rogue are wasted and do nothing. they complain some. Jubilee is just there and does nothing but Shogo this Shogo that. The Rictor stuff still makes little sense either.
this seems like a strong pass.
the only thing saving Excalibur from being the worst Dawn of X book was the fact Fallen Angels was there for a bit...

The opinions of fans on Twitter are no less valid than the ones here. Editorial probably pays way more attention to the response that Excalibur receives on twitter than anywhere else.
