Magneto, most def. Cyclops and Wolverine come right after. Though with Cyclops it's just that you can slap the gold visor with any kinda clothing and people will just be like "yeah, that's Cyclops".

Defiantly Magneto... His look is as iconic as Doom's and (classic) Loki's. As for Logan's I feel it's the mask that makes his look iconic regardless of which color scheme he uses.
I disagree and agree with Cyclops. Only his visor is universally recognizable in the same way as Storm's white hair.

I would be quite fair here with you. All original X-men, first and second-generation costumes are recognizable, even in today's Hickman era all characters have quite recognisable costumes and you can recognise them. For example, we had those snippets of Storm arm only, but it was instant recognition and we knew that it is Storm. Same goes and for other heroes who had similar snippets from a panel, but it was instant recognition that it is them.

The Best - Storm's debut costume

Most Recognizable - Wolverine. In costume, out of costume... doesn't matter. When you see him, you know it's Logan.

My suggestion - Draw Madelyn in the outfit storm debuted in and I'm not talking about the costume Xavier gave her...
