    I like Jubilee more as a character, but her whole look at that time was heavily inspired by Robin(Carrie Kelley). I suspect that may be the reason she sorta became Wolverine's sidekick.

    I recollect differently. The 1980s were the height of the first wave of the X-men craze. When Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends was introduced, most viewers were bothered by the fact that the TV folks opted to use a new character created specifically for the show, rather than use one of Marvel's existing characters. Anjelica wasn't all that popular with fans at first. But that changed later, especially after her character was finally introduced in the comics.
