So the post in the coffee thread with Airplane had me thinkin g about movies from the past that were great at the time but would not get made today for whatever reason.
What do you think some of those movies or tv shows would be? And why?

Blazing Saddles for obvious reasons.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Song of the South
Gone with the Wind
The Birth of a Nation
Probably quite a few more in that vein...
Revenge of the Nerds
Breakfast club or Pretty Pink- I can't remember which one but it is one with clear consent issues and a horrible Asian caricature of a character
America Pie
I remember in Revenge of the Nerds the main nerd put on a mask and had sex with the main bullies gf because she thought it was him. Pretty much rape. But of course she was okay with it because he was good in the sack and they fell in love.
No way with the me too movement that flies today.

I was just watching part of The World The Flesh and The Devil. Fortunately now there would be nothing wrong with Harry Belafonte and Inga Steven's from hooking up.

That was my first thought
Hell, you can't even watch the original today. It's as likely you'll get to see Song of the South as it is you'll get to see that Jerry Lewis clown in a concentration camp movie.
As for a movie that wouldn't be made today? Porkys.
Curious: why could you not get away with The Breakfast Club?
It's odd that folks go right to Blazing Saddles.
Silver Streak is the one where I wind up thinking "There's Just No Way..."
Tend to think the same Bustin' Loose. While the film is a real piece of "Has Been Slept On..." quality, I just can't see the way that it was just "Cards On The Table..." about Annie having been a child prostitute flying in the here and now.
Pretty Baby. Full frontal nudity of 12-year-old Brooke Shields. Or Blue Lagoon and Endless Love, in which she was strongly sexualized as a minor.
