Favorite Characters:
DC: The Flash (Jay & Wally), Starman- Jack Knight, Stargirl, & Shazam!.
MARVEL: Daredevil, Spider-Man (Peter Parker), & Doctor Strange.
Current Pulls: Not a thing!
Rooting for a Superman like budget and 8 to 10 episodes. Maybe 12 max
I wonder will the show mostly have its own new characters, or will there be occasional DC guest stars?
Agreed. As a completely new character they need to make an investment here to make it successful. Her powerset is kind of expansive so far to be cheap on in terms of flying etc. Storywise they really have an open field . She doesnt have decades of material they have to navigate. They can be somewhat original and not be raked over the coals as long as the original stuff is actually good.
Naomi, DCTV's Latest Arrowverse Show, Reveals Series Premiere Date
The CW announced the official premiere date for its newest Arrowverse series, Naomi.
The network recently released its midseason schedule, which included the premiere dates for new series like Naomi and All American: Homecoming, as well as the return dates for Superman & Lois and Kung Fu. Naomi will premiere on Jan. 11, 2022 at 9 p.m. EST/PST, following the Season 2 premiere of Superman & Lois.
Cool, looking forward to this one. Glad to see a new black character rather than a race-swapped one.

So, they showed a clip of this at DC Fandome- and I have to say, I think they picked the absolute worst clip to hype this show. I get the impression that it was taken directly from the comic, so if you actually read the comic, maybe it did something for you. But as someone who has absolutely no knowledge of the character whatsoever, all I got to see is Naomi ducking out of a class, riding her skateboard through the school and down a street, and then her fainting. Not exactly something that makes me want to watch the show.
Its aimed at middle school kids, as originally conceived, in my opinion. So I could see the target audience having fear of falling off a skateboard, being embarrassed and relating to that clip! LOL
