I do, and the size varies.
After almost 30 years of marriage I’ve done everything from a quick phone call out of Afghanistan to a fancy dinner out w. the works.

My wife and I cook a very nice meal at home. We won't deal with the rip offs at restaurants. They want double the price for half the meal.

And don't get me started with $100 for $20 worth of roses.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Personally, I do celebrate it a bit sometimes, depending on my mood. I don't expend a lot on it, but sometimes the husband and I go out to eat or we give each other flowers or do something romantic. But we both agree we don't have to do it, only we feel like it.

Funny, he gave me the ring on a Valentine's day. It was great. I had planned to go out to a dance that day. It turned out quite special. It's been 2 decades.

Whenever I'm single, I "celebrate" it as Singles Awareness Day. Just chilling out at my online haunts, before heading off and watching some Buffy DVDs with a bag of chocolates.

This year around I just might have a date, so it's gonna be Valentine's Day proper!

That wasn't exactly what I wanted to know.

    You asked
    Do you celebrate Valentine's Day?
but I wanted to know if you were talking doing something "special" with a person you're romantically (or potentially) involved with vs. sending a card to family/casual friend.

my question was more open-ended and general.

Yes I do. I celebrated this past Valentine's Day watching a 50 Shades of Gray marathon with my 10 cats. We had a blast! .

My Wife and I do celebrate it. Normally we'd go to a Restaurant but that wasn't possible this year so instead I cooked and we put on one of those romantic movies she likes so much and snuggled up. Got the cards and flowers and chocolate as well.

No I don't but I've read stories centering on it. The drama can be juicy. TV and film as well.

    That sounds very nice.

My husband is that rare kind of man who likes to watch romantic movies lol. He also likes manly movies and shows, so he's still like most men.
