Looks like it is an ongoing!

Did Torres say he “casted” someone as an actor? That’s interesting.

Edit: On Instagram he said he based Brainiac off of Bowie and Sting lol

Vendittit getting an ongoing Superman series based on the version of the character he loves most? Damn, it's a good Wednesday.

Kirk Alyn sounds like a great compromise to me, but I'm not an Adventures of Superman fan presently (only seen a handful of episodes truthfully) so I'm not exactly losing something seeing that Superman interacting with another's supporting cast. It may be like watching Henry Cavil's Superman in the 78 film-- just so jarring. Or any other Superman in Lois and Clark: The New Adventure-- hey wait. Let's not get too hasty in moving on from here...

That's a helluva likeness despite the economy of lines in the inks. Looks great. Can't wait to read this book!

Wasn't the blonie album parallel lines (that included heart of glass) released in 1978? If it was then Powergirl predated it.

Per Venditti’s Instagram it looks like the whole “digital first” aspect has been abandoned and this is now just a normal ongoing: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPWIGYeB...dium=copy_link

DC seems to have basically abandoned the whole digital push based on Last Ride, ‘78, and ‘89 all going from digital firsts to regular releases. Retailer pushback too strong to ignore or digital numbers weren’t strong enough to justify it?

People like collecting things. Especially when it's their favorite version of a character.

It'd help if they weren't chopping pages in half and selling comics in a frustrating piecemeal format.

Yeah, I collect floppies but read pretty much everything digitally. Even the HCs, TPBs, and Omnibuses I pick up really are just expensive decorations for my bookshelf (or insurance for the day Comixology goes dark I suppose).

If this was going to be like the Man of Tomorrow digital first series from last year, the books weren't chopped up for digital. Those were full comics just released early.

Looks like it was going to be weekly so chopped up like Injustice rather than MoT.

The Injustice comic wasn't terrible (well, in terms of layout anyway) so I'm sure they can make it work.

Anyone else wondering whether they are going to use “kryptonian artificial intelligence” as an origin for brainiac in this comic?

It seems like it with the picture of Superman holding a crystal with brainiac on it and brainiac wearing all white like a kryptonian elder
