The thing holding back your favorite character and their toaster is definitely a mini-series about a niche character from an underserved demographic.

I don't blind date I make the direct market vibrate
I remember him from Avengers Academy so I'm curious how it goes.

I had no idea he had been in a cartoon, myself.
I guess he's got some demographic cred, at least. There's not exactly a deep bench there. Living Lightning? White Tiger? Anya Corazon? Hummingbird? Rictor? Not exactly a lot of 'Black Panther' or even 'Shang Chi' level characters to choose from.
Yup, Miles is Afro-Latino.

Always wanted Cloud 9 to take off more than she did. An interesting character.
Good to see that Avengers Academy gets some love. I hope some of Reptil's pals will show up in the story too.
Now if only a black jewish writer could come to Marvel with a pitch about Mettle...
Bringing back the old, killing the young: that's the Marvel way

I wish this was Gage writing, but glad to see Reptil survived. I'll probably give this a shot.
Even if that is the case, getting mad at a minor character is pointless, because they are usually not the ones taking up space in the bigger picture, specially considering this is just a mini. A character like Reptil has it worse than characters like Scarlet Witch and Vision, because he is a lot less likely to pop up in team books and such, since a lot less people care about him. These four issues might be the only good thing he'll get for himself for a while before jumping back to limbo.
I am personally more frustrated at bigger characters taking up space that they don't need. We didn't need a second ongoing for Peter Parker in the form of Non-Stop Spider-Man. We didn't need a Wolverine solo when the same writer was already writing him on X-Force. We didn't need the Avengers line to be reduced to an ''all-star'' kind of team that uses mostly characters who already have their own solos. Those are slots that could've been given to other characters that didn't have any book.
