These are a few of my favorites:

I've always loved this look for Magik, the spikes on the shoulder, so metal!

I'm also big fan of Dauterman's Jean Grey costume.

And I've always loved this "that which is old is new again" look for Magneto.

I really dig Wolverine in Feral's garb

I also really like this look for Kitty. The classic costume with the red scarf. The broken nose is a bonus too. Tough kitty!

And this is a favorite Storm costume for me, a little old with the new.

    And for some non-X-Men stuff:

I really like this look for Wiccan, so much better than the headband.

And I liked the millenial Batgirl costume!

    Batgirl_Vol_4_35.jpg

But I also love the classics!

I particularly LOVE Zee's work clothes! Meanwhile, does everyone prefer her in pumps as above, or thigh high boots in the pic below? Me? I'm all about the pumps! Shows off her majestic legs more!

Elektra...usually when it's drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz. Very artsy and sexy.

To the utmost, I agree. Truly iconic (IMHO):

When it comes to Green Arrow, this will always be my favorite costume he's sported:

I am usually a traditionalist and prefer that original costumes not be updated or re-imagined to make it more sensible for modern times, but I gotta say: I love the redesign of the Mockingbird outfit by David Lopez.

Reposting it. Image was deleted by mistake.

I fixed some coloring, Cloaks medallion was colored over.

Notice the Roxy music (miss spelling?), Kate
Bush, U2 and Duran Duran graffiti on the brick wall.

Though, miss spelling may be intentional due to legal reasons.

Even tho I'm certain they'd be an express ticket to a coffin for a martial artist, I always loved Mockingbird's flowing-sleeves look. It was unique.

That's just it...practicality should have very little bearings on how a comic book character looks, IMO. I love flowing elements to comic book costumes. One the biggest reasons I love Elektra's costume is that the costume can be very playful and exaggerated for dramatic effects.

With the Mockingbird design you are showing...the flowing sleeves is actually not what I would take issues with. I've seen a few Star Wars movies and I notice that long, flowing sleeves have no bearing on how cool Jedis and Sith can look when fighting
