No people did not flat out hate it, many people in the media hated it and gaslighted negative backlash that spread wild that resulted in the whdeon justice league.

Kennedy, along with her husband, also of course worked on a ton of mostly 80s-90s Spielberg projects, not only stuff he directed (E.T, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Schindler's list etc) but also stuff he produced that's also fondly remembered (Back to the future trilogy, Poltergeist, Gremlins, Goonies, Roger Rabbit etc).

While I understand people disagreeing with how she handled the Sequels, they're acting like she's out to destroy SW, especially since Gina Carano was fired

I don't want to be one of those people who cries racism and sexism all the time. But, if anyone thinks Kathleen Kennedy was a nepotism hire, you're either ignorant, or that's a sexist comment. You would not be saying the same thing about a man with her credentials. Full stop.
