    Default What Do The Various Franchise Logos Symbolize In The Mainstream?

    What do the logos means to people, besides the name of the hero, i.e. strength, will, etc.?

    Superman = Strength
    Flash = Speed
    WW = Strength
    Batman = Coolness
    GL = Don’t think it has a meaning for the mainstream yet, but if it does it’s Willpower
    Aquaman = Water or Swimming ability

    Basically whatever their core power/attribute is, that’s what their symbols mean to the mainstream.

    Wonder Woman's logo makes me hungry for french fries.

    Aquaman's logo should probably be there instead of Martian Manhunters if they're only going with 6. MM's icon isn't really very ... iconic. I feel like I've seen other ones for him as well since he hasn't traditionally had one unlike the others.

    Otherwise, I would guess people's associations are:
    Superman: Altruism
    Batman: Vigilantiism
    WW: Female empowerment
    Flash: Speed
    GL: Space/sci-fi

    When it comes to Supes they can say it stand for “hope”, but there’s a reason the S-shield is popular on workout t-shirts, and it’s not because they’re hoping to increase their gains lol. It stands for strength.

    yeah, physical and emotional/moral strength, and hope for those that watch the movies.

    I think the Wonder Woman's logo makes me think of girl power, justice and feminism, which is what she represents.
