Guess we'll find out.
Yeah, I liked the Nats Cinderella season, but I don't see them repeating that feat.

The Cardinals have Arenado and Goldy but the outfield has a lot of promise but so far hasn't proven a whole lot...just glad to be rid of some of the dead weight from last year...

The Minnesota Twins bench coach Mike Bell passed away today after fighting cancer.

In Red Sox news, the team announced that Nathan Eovaldi will be their opening day starter instead of Eduardo Rodriguez. Apparently Rodriguez is dealing with a "dead arm" issue.

As opposed to, of course, a live arm that acts of its own accord...

Baseball is my very first sports love, so I'm mondo excited for the new season to start today! With that in mind, time for THE best song EVER about baseball, take it away, Mr. Fogerty....

You are not wrong; it is the best song about baseball ever, (and Fogerty is a national treasure). But what are some of the other great baseball songs?

Lindor and the Mets came to a multi year huge contract, over $300 million. Seems the Mets might now be even more interesting this year, one way or another.

I can't watch the end of that movie without tearing up, given as I'd love to be able to talk to my dad again one more time...

I need to see that movie. But if it has that particular effect, I too may need some tissues. Speaking of which, what are all the great baseball movies?

    I've got in mind:

Major League---the best baseball comedy IMO.
Field of Dreams---so I've heard, anyway.
    The Natural.
    A League of Their Own.

But I'm drawing a blank on others, (apart from the ML sequel).

42 I would put ahead of Field of Dreams. I said it. FIGHT ME!

The Rookie, Moneyball, How Do You Know, Sandlot, For The Love of the Game, Bull Durham, Pride of the Yankees (with Babe Ruth played by ... Babe Ruth!), Eight Men Out, Bad News Bears, Damn Yankees (musical), Rookie of the Year, Sugar, 61*, Angles in the Outfield, Chasing Dream, Upside of Anger ... are several others people mention as great.

I have always enjoyed 8 Men Out more then Field of Dreams.

A League of Their Own is a must see.
