Hah I like this development. Supes clashing with the DoD now that Sam can’t protect him anymore sounds good to me! Kind of wish they had just used Faraday, did one of the other Arrowverse shows already use him?

I think pretty much everyone figured that the new head of the DoD would have it out for Superman.

Apparently this Anderson guy is not an OC but is from the comics. He had powers and was part of a team called “Supermen of America” run by Luthor back in the 90s. Doesn’t seem like his S&L counterpart has much to anything in common but we will see.

Just spitballing but if Superman won't toe the line with the DOD he uses the DOD institute to recruit other people with powers to have their own Supermen on command.

I think the assistant coach uniform is kinda just going to be this version of Clark's default signature civilian look. I noticed he wore it a lot in season 1 even when he wasn't coaching.
