Another solid episode. Loved the train scene. A good example of something that could not easily be executed in a comic but works great for TV.

I do feel like the plots are starting tread water a bit. Hope things start progressing a little faster. But really, that's just me nitpicking.

Next episode is Luthor’s backstory I believe, so the pace should start picking up rapidly once we get that.

I was looking at that train scene and seeing how effortlessly and immediately Superman resolved it, while I feel like in any other show they would have had to constantly flash to the support team scrambling to figure out what to tell the hero to do instead of them just resolving it themselves.

I so love how this show has a competent hero who doesn't have a support team.

I agree. I pray that season 2 doesn't drop off a cliff like a lot of these CW shows do. If next season everyone knows Clark's secret identity and they're all working out of a barn on a laptop as "Team Superman", I will cry.

Just noticed that the actress that plays Sarah is freakin 24 years old, and Jordan's actor is 16. Sooo, yeah, I find it unlikely that they'll go for them getting together in the end or even at all to be frank. Otherwise, it's pretty gross.

That said, Jon's actor is 19, and the showrunner not-so-subtlety implied a love triangle between the three recently. And obviously that's kind of odd given the fact that Jon's only ever shown support for his brother trying to get out of his shell and ask Sarah out, and there hasn't really ever been much of a hint toward the two having an attraction.

But back during the Tag episode where they're at the party and Jon is worried about Tag while Jordan is talking with Sarah, Sarah does take a moment to really try an empathize with Jon's situation (while Jordan is kind of a little ******* about it). And I suppose you can read the hand full of times Sarah has been hard on Jon (calling him corny in episode 1, and yelling at him when he was drunk) as the building of an opposites attract sort of situation.

But the main thing's likely going to be-- to absolutely no one's shock-- how Jordan takes this. If they do go with that it'll likely something Jordan feels is a betrayal by both of them, but especially Jon.

Unless the story has mary marvel or even kathy.I am not really interested in sarah. She is annoying to be Honest.Jon has fast reflexes. The kid was able to get in between jordn and the bullies. Not that i like the whole superman playing the middle man thing. It's agonising and done to death.

The actress is much older. I doubt they are putting her with either of the boys any time soon. And Alex Garfin said he was 17 not 16 but he's still the baby of the show, not counting the little Sophie actress. I want them to introduce Kathy since they seem to have already cast someone with her grandfather's name. I don't care much for Sarah at the moment past her family issues, especially if she's used as a way to drive a wedge between the brothers. I don't care for triangles and I care for the one caught in the middle even less.

Tom Welling was something like 24 when Smallville started and Kristen Kruek was 18. Large age discrepancies aren't that unusual on shows like this.

Aha! Forgot about that. Michael Rosenbaum is two years older than Tom Welling and didn't they also try and have Lex have a thing for Lana, and he was written to be older than high schooler Clark?

Heh, now that I think about it, the best thing Jon could have done to de-escalate the situation would have been to confront the bullies himself. He's fought other people to defend his brother before. Then again, it was his former teammates in this case... one of which kept saying he was now involved with Jon's former girlfriend... kid really needs to learn to stand up for himself.

Jordan's actor isn't even 18 out of highschool in real life. It's not the age gap, but the fact that he's a real life child. In Smallville neither Clark nor Lex dated Lana till she was at least 20 to 21 in real life. But I'm sure her boyfriend before Clark or Lex was in his 20s, but at least she was 18/19.

My point being I doubt they'll be getting together anytime soon. And since the showrunner implied a triangle of sorts in his interview, I imagine she will likely end up with Jon for a bit.

Not really. Jordan was looking for a fight, and if you've ever been on a team then you know if someone swings on your teammate then you all swing. It would've been a brawl. And in the confusion Jon wouldn't be able to babysit Jordan and keep him from seriously hurting someone.

Good point. In that hypothetical case, Jon'd go confront the dude, Jordan gets mocked for needing his brother to defend him, and eventually probably throws the first punch anyway and same thing as the show happens.

I'd just have preferred Jon a little more active in the confrontation.
