Episode 12 "Through the Valley of Death" episode description:

DAVID RAMSEY (“ARROW”) GUEST STARS – Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and John Henry Irons (Wole Parks) can’t seem to agree on the best way to stop Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner). Meanwhile, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) encourages Jordan (Alex Garfin) to focus on strengthening his powers to help locate their dad. Lastly, an old friend is brought in to help with the search.

Episode 13 "Fail Safe" episode description:

TENSION – Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) pays a visit to Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner). Meanwhile, Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Chrissy (guest star Sofia Hasmik) work together on a story. Lastly, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) finds a welcome distraction during a very stressful school day.

Episode 14 is titled "The Eradicator."

The season finale is titled "The Last Sons of Krypton."

The "Fail Safe" description makes me think it's a flashback episode. Just sounds too casual when either everyone's preparing for an imminent apocalypse or has just narrowly avoided such a fate (Jon's relaxing from an stressful school day instead of the whole fiasco with his uncle Morgan?). Maybe we'll see past Lois and Clark prepare a countermeasure in case Superman was compromised, and that's why it's called Fail Safe?

The whole "pay a visit to Morgan Edge" thing has me really curious, because why would he be visiting him while he's brainwashed? Unless this is back when they were still in Metropolis.

Or Clark has already been freed and they've managed to imprison Edge.

Now that I think about it, Steel wasn't even in Smallville, huh? It's nice to see him be so relevant to a Superman show.

It’s annoying but no, he hasn’t really played a major role in any Superman media since STAS. Maybe that terrible movie toxified him in the execs eyes? I’m glad he’s making a comeback now though.
