Lightbulb MCU? DCEU? Get ready for the Magic Kingdom Universe (MKU) on Disney Plus

    According to this CBR article:

Ron Moore (Battlestar Galactica, For All Mankind) is bringing his creative talents to Disney+ to launch a franchise of streaming projects centered in what is being billed as a Magic Kingdom Universe.
Characters and locations from Disney films and theme parks will be art of a new universe, and the first project is entitled "The Society of Explorers and Adventurers".

My impression is that the society will visit landmarks and locations, and meet the characters that live there, from various movies and theme parks as it globe trots. So for example, we can see all the kingdoms of the Disney Princesses, as well as Arendelle, co-existing in a single world as they are depicted in their respective feature films.

It is a smart idea because Disney is in the business of milking those IPs so any reason to use them is a good idea because in turn they can push the other products with those IPs. Disney has always look for another way to use these characters again.

    But what if it worked?

(Also, didn't think those movies were that bad. Didn't Tron: Legacy do okay at the box office, too?)

How so? Those weren't meant to start a shared universe were they? I mean, start franchises and sequels sure, but that's the hope for everything Disney does...

Kinda reminds me of those Marvel miniseries that were being published awhile ago.

I’m surprised they haven’t tried adapting the Big Thunder Mountain comic to film yet. I really liked that one.
