I think so, as long as they are worth watching, meaning they are enjoyable.

Kiki's is wonderful, not sure if it's underrated. I would say for Miyazaki it's Ponyo, which was less successful.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Good one! That film had very good special effects for the time. The plot is pretty ordinary, but I find the movie worth watching.

Well, some movies were considered crap at one time, but then became classics years later. So, yes?

For Carpenter, I probably would have picked Elvis instead.

Totally agree, and I meant no offense. Sad to hear about Ponyo, though.

And speaking of being a success, how successful was Miyazaki's Castle of Cagliostro (either critically or at the box office )???
