"It's Frankensteen!"
"It's Frankensteen!"
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Congratulations Zelena Are you a first time winner?

Congratulations to Zelena for a Marvelous Duo-team Cover which may have been the only other appearance of this "Darkseid".
As to the "peak of the week" and what the captain has learned this contest, it seems this Kirby fellow was a creator who basically just churned out ideas. He supposedly wanted DC's least selling book (Jimmy Olsen) and he combined that with three other bi-monthlies for an epic presentation. Even outside the New Gods books, we still were gifted with Kamandi, Sandman, Demon, OMAC, and others which are worked into DC's main focus today, nearly a half century later. What strikes me about Kirby at DC and his portfolio is that no one ever really asks "What if Kirby did Flash?" or "What if Kirby did Green Lantern?" because where he was seems to have fit comics so well.
Thank you, Jack.
And thanks to worstblogever and PaulBullion for the votes.
