I think a few times Peter has swung with MJ in the comics she wore a mask or had something obscuring her face/hair. Although in a Spencer comic she was, like, right there when they got caught by a guard and she swung off with him.

I think he just didn't want them to forget to begin with, y'know, not forgetting those shared memories, specially if they don't remember even after he reveals them again, it's an understandable worry.

But yeah, this scene is dumb, Peter didn't specify that he wants people to still remember who he is, and Strange keeps the spell going despite the clear doubts Peter has... At least a line saying he can't stop it now could help, y'know, since he's erasing the memories of 7 billion people, would make sense for him to not be able to stop at any point.

Also, wonder if they'll specify that newspapers or internet will have the information erased too, 'cause if everyone forgets, but those are still around, then people will learn he's Spidey again real fast, OMD even points this out, and it's why they went to Mephisto to begin with lol.

So yeah, not consistent, and while you can excuse Annual#21 since it's nighttime and digital cameras and cellphones with cameras weren't a thing (Still hella risky anyway), ASM#74 has it happening on broad daylight, when everyone and their mother has cellphones lol.

Yeah, checking out some pages from the parody compared to the actual event, they both have weird humor but, the actual thing shouldn't fucking sound like a parody lol.
