I picked up the first trade of Department of Truth and read through the first issue on a beautiful afternoon outside yesterday. Does it continue looking good into later issues?

I think so, Captain C. There's a sudden art shift in issue 6, toward a more fanciful, more traditionally fairytale style, but it's certainly suits the content, which also suits the storyline, and, I expect, is a one-shot change-up. Issue 3 is a heartbreaker; issue 6 a kind of explanation. I still like the series and am glad it seems to be more of an on-going series than a short and vanishing one.
