Answering this question made me realize three things.

1. Most of my favorite sci-fi doesn't focus on romance much at all;
2. When there is a romance I find it more a distraction than a feature;
3. The romantic couples we get are usually not the ones I want.

But I came up with:

Leela and Frye on Futurama were a favorite of mine.
Kaylee and Simon on Firefly worked, and I was glad.

Growing up it was Superman and Lois. They were my favorite for many years. I still love their relationship.

Later, the Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler became my #1 ship lol. I just loved their chemistry, story and interactions so damn much.

From Star Trek, Worf and Jadzia Dax. Really liked their dynamic. Hated it when she died.

And now I'm obsessed with Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter from Stargate SG1. I'm in my second rewatch and I love their chemistry and scenes together so damn much, even more than the first time. They are an unusual romance because they never really got together, but that's why it's compelling and tragic. I like me some tragic love story too. I'm on Season 3 right now and I can't have enough of them and the whole show. I really like it.

They are from star trek discovery. Book is the 2nd major love interest of Burnham. She hardly talks about her first love interest Ash.

When I think of Sci Fi Romance I think of the tragic couple

Garak and Ziyal. I loved the line when Garak is by her side after she died and Kyra told Garak that she really loved him and Garak said I know, I just dont know why. man that really gets me.

Ok, sure, they weren't a real couple in the traditional ways. It was mostly just the robot head who wanted them to be a couple. But the robot head absolutely knew how to make himself valuable to her!
