I personally don't think the faceplate-less look was ever a good one for him.

Transformers has become an entrenched part of cross generational appeal at this point.
Prior to the 2007 live action series one could argue the franchise was niche. More than a footnote but not large scale well known like say Mickey Mouse, Spiderman or Wonder Woman.
During the live action 5 film franchise and slew of cartoon series in that time, as well as video games, the Transformers became a General Knowledge franchise.

At minimum I feel you could ask 10 people in broad terms "Do you know about Transformers?" and just that word would get a 60-70% response of Yes. They know the word and think "big robots".
I think half could tell you the name Optimus Prime even if they don't know which robot he is.

I blitzed through the 10 episodes over the last two days. This show really, really took its time getting to meat.
Takes some getting used to with Megatron as a good guy working alongside Optimus. Both of whom along with Elita-1 and Arcee are with the G.H.O.S.T. organization. A collaborative Earth unit securing rogue Cybertronians. My take is rogue means any Cybertronian not working alongside GHOST. Cause then it makes sense as to why Megs is frustrated that Bumblebee and Wheeljack can roam around but any Decepticon must be captured. It is almost a certainty that Megs will flip back at some point.

I don't think the moniker Terrans is a good fit for these new Earth born Bots if only that is almost universally a moniker given to humans in sci-fi lore across any space adjacent show. We have 5 in total by seasons end, 3 of which still need an alt mode. I wonder if the team that came up with the new Cassette bot with the guitar were also Silverhawks fans?

My grade for this show would be: C+
