What to read in preparation for Infinite Frontier?

I’ve been out of the DC loop for a few years now.

Is there anything I can read to prepare for the Infinite Frontier relaunch?

If you really wanted, you could try reading Snyder's Metal/Justice League/Death Metal + the relevant tie-ins.

But realistically the only thing you'll probably need to prepare for Infinite Frontier is the One Shot (Infinite Frontier #0) coming out tuesday.

Yeah basically what Arsenal said, Infinite Frontier #0 is going to set up a good number of stories that will be carried over into ongoing series. That said not every series is starting over so some stuff that was written before will be continued because it’s not a reboot.

For example say you have an interest in Batman, Jame Tynion wrote I believe it was two volumes before issue 106 next week, including Joker War which establishes a bit of the status quo in Batman comics right now. However some series are completely brand new characters or reintroductions like the new Swamp Thing, Yara Flor, the post-death Metal Crime Syndicate.

The preview for Infinite Frontier #0 is out and as Josh Williamson said, it takes place immediately after the ending of Death Metal #7, and that's where they explain how the new universe... Omniverse... works. So at least for me, those final pages are important.

Williamson also said in one of the chapters he wrote will pick up the pieces from Metal but didn't specify what because it's a spoiler
