Oh yeah, now that I remember it, The Circle's dead at the beginning of New 52. Only The Wizard lived long enough to acknowledge that Pandora was wrongly sentenced.
I'm reading up the wiki right now and The Wizard was originally from Canaan, Israel. So neither version are white. They're Near Eastern Jews. The original and current version just looks way older than New 52, and maybe, lighter skin.

Williamson said recently the current editorial team apparently started reading comics in the 90s so that could be a logical explanation for the "Sentinel" thing. I'm more curious about why his hair is all gray all of a sudden. Alan is obviously an older gentleman but he never went gray like Jay did, so why did he suddenly lose his blonde hair.
