I'm hyped for this, hopefully it will be great.
IIRC, Millar said in a podcast that the budget was high for this show (can't recall the specific numbers).

I need to re-read this comic, it's been a long time since I read it.

Marvel is spoiling us a little too much, If I didn't have Winter Soldier in my head the trailer would rank a little higher in mind. The Cgi goes from pretty good cgi to CW flash a couple of times. Which honestly isn't a bad thing but now that Wandavision, Falcon, or even Superman & Lois is a thing I unrealistic expect everything to look like a movie.

yeah i think the superhero genre kind of needs a larger budget given its content

perhaps if this does well enough netflix can beef up future millar stuff. I'd imagine they would want to do Jupiter's Circle if this succeeds

It just drop on Netflix. I can already tell some people aren't going like it because it is slower than most superhero shows but it is solid so far.

It started off ok but it just meandered in the middle.

    Like, it's getting quite boring.

This is a problem with a lot of Netflix series, they just drag in the middle.

The comics were certainly much, much more captivating than this series.

Seen the first two episodes, pretty good so far. Duhamel is nailing it as Utopian.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

I about burned through it so far and yea it drags close to the middle but that's probably due to the daughters storyline. She's a pain in the ass to keep involved with. Duhmel is good though.

I'm also noticing that Netflix has a house style that kind of keeps the pace dull at times. I so very rarely sit through their shows, mostly I'm in it for the movies. Some cool **** in it for sure though.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.
