    Default Portals in Science Fiction

    I think portals in Sci-Fi are awesome and great ways to take us on different kinds of adventures.

    Star Trek has had episodes about it.

    My question is, Do you like them? And, What are your favorite stories that use portals in shows or movies? You can include books too. Please feel free to post images of those portals you like or videos.

    I just saw and loved Teen Titans Go vs Teen Titans. Much portal fun, as Starfire would say.
    There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    Sliders?

    I think we are about as likely (if not moreso) to either figure out how to fold space and make portals or discover them via wormhole or something, than we are to go faster than the speed of light to travel...

    I like them when they come with complications. Otherwise they're just plot convenience devices.

    ^^^thst was great!

    The mysterious portal in the Twilight Zone ep. “Little Girl Lost” was one of the show’s most memorable outings...:

    ...and was parodied on The Simpsons, becoming one of the best Treehouse of Horror segments in the show’s 30 years...;
