I hoor the kid version status as now Nathan has a real parents-son relationship with Scott and Jean. While old Cable always was kind of distant from them.

I hated the young version first, but now do prefer him.

Also there is a point that Jean and Scott can't play dad and mom forever, so good riddance to kid cable

Thats not entirely true. They were close. Once Cable realized they raised him and they came back from their honeymoon, the three took the steps to have a relationship and it was something that was actually followed through with

That was so wholesome. There will definitely be some weirdness but they definitely could all still be close.

This is exactly how I feel, it was fun light book that gave us a different look at the typical machismo ridden Cable.

I'm gonna miss it, but I am excited to see what happens to the character in the future.
