Perhaps she is actually in a relationship with this deviant. They did mention his life span, unless she is the type to care for even short lived hookups. I can't remember if Kro was good or bad the last time he showed up. He might be a villain at the moment.

This feels more like how you'd introduce Sersi than Thena. Not that I think Sersi would sleep with a deviant (or maybe she would at least once).
Those faces...I dunno, one panel he's sleeping, then he looks like he's in shock, one panel Thena looks happy, the next she looks like she's having major second thoughts.
