    Much appreciated.

The O5 have good stories in Uncanny X-Men post-Giant Sized, The Defenders and X-Factor volume 1.

No? Spidey punches plenty in the MCU.

Exactly. So what was Castle saying then?

Plus, why exactly do we want him to punch people? He's Spider-Man!

I grew up with X-men evolution so a teenage cast doesn't bother me. I prefer the Academy X kids but I can roll with a young Cyclops etc. It would be funny if they did a father son angle between him and Logan like they did in the show. Thats one way to sidestep the whole love triangle drama.Just have Logan and Storm get together- they were endearing and subtle.

Yeah, I think is what kinda set people off. I don't think the name is sexist, but I'm also not triggered by them using a different name

Yeah, this came to mind when I heard about the new title. I still don't think they'll throw out the X-Men name, though.

I doubt they would either. This rumor isn't anything to be worked up about.

This interview with Victoria Alonzo has been brought up before as "evidence" Marvel is moving away from the X-Men title in favour of "The Mutants". I maintain Disney will never allow them to walk away from an extremely well-known and marketable name, very well established after decades of comics, cartoons, movies and videogames, because someone finds it sexist. It's just not going to happen.

Depends on how many people find it sexist.

But really, the X is the selling point.

    i think it's both

obvious the x-men brand is super well-known and famous

at the same time, the MCU as a brand/powerhouse and anything feige touches turns to gold, so they might not care since it's almost a surefire billion dollar hit

i don't think going with "the mutants" is a genderless thing as much as feige/marvel wanting to distance themselves away from the fox-men branding as the last 2 movies were not well-received. just give the name a well-needed break

i'm sure we'll hear the term x-men, probably in deadpool as well

Yeah, I think branding any series with X is bigger than just the name X-Men
