You know, I used to think people were being paranoid when they said DC hates Superman but, honestly, there's no other explanation for this other than that. There's no way someone at Warners would have signed off on this if they were taking Superman fans into consideration. Two video games where he's a villain and now this? It's one thing to say Snyder hates Superman, but how many people at Warners would have had to approve this script? Who knows how far up the chain this would have gotten but this proves that Snyder shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Superman.

2. There was no “5 film plan” for Superman, he was just going to be the evil bad guy threat for Batgod to beat
3. As bad as Injustice is it’s still not the bottom for how bad it can get for Superman

To be fair they didn’t approve this script. They told him to cut the Bruce/Lois romance. But that they let this idiot map out their attempt at a DC Cinematic Universe is still damning.

No, the best thing that can happen to Superman is Snyder gets the boot after the Cut and we get some more good Superman stuff. The freaking CW show has a good Superman, it’s not impossible, Snyder is simply the worst possible choice to adapt Superman.

Well at the executive level they are suits who know next to nothing about the various IPs at a granular level and only see the broadest of broad strokes. A keen example is Joel Silver and the WW film rights. He acquired them why? Because he wanted to capitalize on the affinity audiences had for Trinity in the Matrix. Do you see the gaping galactic expanse between his understanding and the reality of the characters concept? The two are not remotely similar beyond "girl fight good" and yet he viewed WW as a means to duplicate the success of whatever trend Trinity tapped into.

To fans, this is nothing short of assinine. To studio execs, it is a perfectly logical train of thought.

The combination of handing the verse over to a guy who has such hatred/disdain and/or lack of understanding for DCs flagship character and not having a programme plan pretty much insured they were never going to be able to compete with the MCU.

This is exactly the perfect way to say this. You can't hear it now, but I'm screaming with disgust. From early on, I wasn't a fan of how Superman was being handled in these. MoS was alright, I liked it when I first watched, but then had issues the more I thought about it, but BvS and everything else concerned and disappointed me. In addition to being evil, supes has to go through this awful arc and have Batman's death on him? I already hate Injustice for Evil Supes, but if this movie maked an entire generation hate Superman, I'd riot...ugh, I'm still made about Rocksteady going with Evil Supes in his modern game debut, instead of giving us a damn traditional Superman game.
