Yeah, I can't see why they would be releasing the story like this if they weren't trying to rush Spencer out, or at least Spencer wants to get to the "good stuff."

ive been enjoying spencer spider man run and more issues of amazing spiderman we get the better dont complain or we could end up where for some bizarre reason theres no avengers books in may cause of heroes reborn and the x-line is now a frigin joke with the flagship hickman x-book taking a skip month. Spencer is on for the long haul remember spidey is the only book he writes and unlike a lot of other writers he doesnt do a ton of creator owner, ultimately its up to marvel but sales have been not on the slott level but very steady but heard hes got stories locked in well past issue 100

Let me take these points one at a time:
1: Sales. Because of the virus and after effects ( people out of work) naturally sales will be down.
2: Creator characters. You are correct that for whatever reason Spencer does not do them. But this can also be interpreted as he is not as invested in a long haul like Slott was ( think of his time on Superior). It could easily be that instead of him being there for the long haul, or Marvel wanting to push him out, he just might want to a finite amount of issues before moving on to a different comic. Basically from his perspective, quality over quantity. He does not want to make the same mistake JMS did ( stayed around too long and instead of fixing a bad comic ( Sins Past), he not only fails to fix it, but gets saddled down with that comic, and his last story turns out to be the even worse OMD). Far better to get out too early then stay too late.

I hope he uses Spider-Man 2099 in another arc again.

I also hope Spencer makes an Arc with Kaine and Ben before Kindred and they join the Order (I personally don't like this Team but I could tolerate it if they add more people that fit like his brothers, who are also other victims of Norman).

Can someone explain Chameleon’s powers or lack thereof. When I started reading Spider-Man back in 93, Chameleon had the ability to change his whole appearance. Then he went mad and he had that white helmet/mask for a while. I don’t recall seeing him after the Webspinners issues where he jumps from the top of the bridge. He came back during the Brand New Day era and he was making the molds of people faces to make his masks. What happened to his ability to shift forms at any moment?

I remember that time Chameleon found out who Spider-Man was and left him stuck in a deathtrap so he could have his way with Mary Jane before killing her, too --- only MJ could tell that it was Chameleon in disguise as Peter, and so beat him half to death with a baseball bat, only stopping when the real Peter came in thinking he needed to save her from Chameleon.

I think those are issues I am skipping ( and unless there is an OMD tie in or MJ is heavily involved not even following). Why? I do not like Chameleon and never did. Except for Jackal my least favorite Peter villain.
