It's never (too) late Yeah, Orlando's Midnigther run was a true gem. The character himself is a true gem!

Hope his stories in the Infinite Frontier era will once be collected into a TPB - like his back-up story together with the Midnighter Annual (Action Comics). It was a weirdly fun run - and we could see the birth of a really great villain.

well, at least (hopefully) we won't hear complaints like a longstanding, well-established character is retconned out of nowhere

I’m seeing people say Jon can’t be bi because he’s kissed a girl. And of course it makes no sense.

    LOL, absolute nonsense
eagerly waiting for a thread on the DC forum where pple can argue about the sexuality of Jon Kent

honestly, it's good we have a queer member of the Super-family - however, Jon is getting more & more similar to Clark... if I can recall, Jay is a reporter seeking truth & justice like Lois, right?

In terms of sales will we see an increase or more people dropping comics?

Why though? They have absolutely no connection.

If people drop comics because Jon is bi, it says more about them than the quality of comics or this new development.

Given how few queer men there are in DC and their closeness in age they have a limited dating pool of known characters. Sure, new characters can always be created, but it’s natural people will look to the characters they’re familiar with and consider who could be paired off, especially as Jon just opened up his dating options to men.
I still wish that Tim and Kon were an option, and neither Jay or Bernard have established themselves as fan favorites yet.

The Batman and Superman families always have some connections. Right now Jon is connected to both Dick and Damian.

I don't ship it but I do think it would be funny if DC made Tim/Jon a couple given that Jon/Damian and Tim/Conner are very popular ships.

While I understand what you intend, Your point of view can be refuted, why people bi sexual don't buy comics about hetero heroes? does it says more about them?
Or its OK when its about bi characters that they buy, but that can't be applied to straight readers who buy straight characters? It is a catch 22

Anyhow my question was will it bring in new readers or will we see a drop in sales?

Media outlets are just running with 'Superman is bi' which is creating a ruckus among the sections of the internet that you'd expect to come out of the woodworks at moments like these.

Anyways, great for Jon and his queer fans. As an aside, interesting that it's the more straight arrow personalities like Jon, Tim and Jackson that they always decide to confirm as bi instead of say, Dick, Damian or Jason.
