I for one think it's great that they're not worrying about the fact that a ~problematique~ character is LGBT and showcasing that.

Why? Her powers are literally rainbows, a symbol of LGBT pride. And she’s a lesbian.

Katie Power also left a trail of rainbow light in her wake when she possessed the powers of acceleration

(Power Pack #25) does this mean she's was LGBT at the time?

Also in story Canon she is a lesbian and no it's not because of the rainbows. Do you really not know who she is? Calling her rainbow girl is a lil insulting in the way you say it. https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Julie_Power_(Earth-616)

Julia Power? WHY? Because she's definitely made her mark as a young person and her sexuality.

I don't see why that's odd at all.

Agreed. If Daken was our only rep it would be a problem, but the fact that he's now one of many queer leads is a good thing. We get a diversity of personality/roles within our diversity of sexuality.

True, there are fair bit of bi or pansexual characters within the X-Men. Lets see off the top of my head...

    Confirmed

    Mystique
    Deadpool ***
Shatterstar the karma against leob lmao
    Prodigy
    Mercury

    Not Outright Stated But...
    Shadowcat *
    Magik **

    * we need some follow-up to that kiss
** magiks propositioned both male and female characters
*** it's more lip-service though, outside of a bit of flirting he's never been shown to have any sexual or romantic relationships with men, but it has been stated by creators he's supposed to be pansexual so...

potentially every Claremazon but particularly Storm. And now Scott and Wolverine have some implications...
