Default Which version of Parasite do you prefer?

Though one of my favourite Superman villains, one of my biggest nit-picks is that there's never seems to be a well defined version of the Parasite. And I feel one of the issues stems from the fact that there have been multiple people using the moniker of the Parasite over the years. The 4 Parasites have been:

    1) Raymond Maxwell Jenson (The Pre-Crisis Parasite)
    2) Rudolph "Rudy" Jones (The Post Crisis Parasite)
    3) Alex and Alexandra Allston (Pre-Infinite Crisis)
    4) Joshua Michael Allen (The New 52 Parasite)

Which version of Parasite do you prefer?

I don't know about the man behind the beast so I pick the one that look the scariest

    This one, Rudy Jones...

    or this one, Torval Freeman

Did a quick read, but apparently Freeman isn't a main antagonist

    So I'm going with Rudolph

Well post crisis Rudy Jones and Secret Origins Rudy are pretty different though.

Freeman was stuck in a body with Rudy. Which was cool because it managed to play with the idea of a reluctant Parasite without letting sympathy ruin an incorrigible character.

But no question, Jensen is the man. From the mid 60s to mid 70s he was a really great threat, gave Silver age Superman some of the ugliest beatings I think he'd ever gotten, and when writers really got into the idea of him stealing mentally as well as physically... the old Jensen reminds me of Venom or Carnage from 90s Marvel, but more variable and effective

I know damn little about most of the Parasites, so I went with the one I'm most familiar with; Rudy. I liked the 90's era leach mouth monster and wrinkled husk versions, but Parasite is one of those villains who's never seemed to live up to his potential or longevity so I'm pretty ambivalent.

Rudy, partially because of the STAS version of him, and partially because of that arc in the 00s where he gained the ability to shapeshift, and kidnapped and impersonated Lois Lane for a while.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

The story around it wasn’t bad either; in fact, it was quite good.

Rudolph "Rudy" Jone is my favorite version of the character.

I have a certain amount of affection for the S:TAS version but when I think of Parasite stories I tend to think of that one Bronze Age story where he turned everyone against Superman. I miss Parasite being one of Superman's premier threats.
