I can think of two reasons.

1. They are completionists and are so forced to read it.

2. They hope it will be replaced with another book more to their taste.

Still, not really a flattering look.

Or... OR... they are real Cable fans and want this Lite version to go away so the real deal can return.

So in this particular case there is a third option besides just being a hater. I actually really like Quentin Quire these days. Enjoy reading about him in X-Force. Don’t need to read about a less sarcastic version of him in this book, which carries the name of one of my favorite characters in its title.

I actually think Duggan did a good job at making kid cable a interesting character in this. I do understand fans of OG Cable being upset with this for sure, but I've had fun with it.

The art on this was nice but man its kind of boring to look at. Not very kinetic at all. Emma is savage. "he would rather throw himself into the ocean than be near you"
